Factory Head - Joinery Production ( Interior Fit outs/ Furniture Manufacturing ) Mysore, India Our client is into manufacturing of high-end wooden interior furniture for guest rooms of STAR Hotels having full fledged factory with European wood-working machinery and with a workforce of 250. They need to fill the following position asap. Position : Factory Head - Joinery Production ( Interior Fit outs/ Furniture Manufacturing ) Education : Mechanical Engineering or qualification suitable for wooden furniture industry Experience : 10 years ( age max 40-45 years ) Location : Mysore ( Thandavapura near Mysore ) Compensation : Competitive and commensurate with candidate caliber and experience Role Responsibilities and Desired Profile : 1. Skill / Knowledge: Should be conversant with manufacturing processes and methods of wooden furniture, fit outs, joinery and interiors for all categories of Hotels including star Hotel, both in production and finishing line. Conversant with Shop Floor Drawings, Production Drawings, Product Drawings etc., and Possess good knowledge in making all such Drawings in Auto cad. Knowledge in Solidworks/cut rite/cut rite plus (software) will be an added advantage. Possess good knowledge of Raw Materials, Hard Wood, Hardware and all wooden furniture manufacturing machines and their tools, spares and accessories. Tooling knowledge. Possess good soft skills. Possess good management skill of co-ordination with clients. 2. Capability: Capable of efficiently overseeing production processes/methods, Preparing Production plan, Despatch plan and Day to-day production schedule. Able to monitor/ control production on day to-day basis and ensure production is achieved as per the production schedule committed / delivery schedule given to the clients and targets given. Capable of controlling costs by adopting optimal utilization of men, material and machine. Able to achieve very high quality standards required and set by the Company. Capable of efficient coordination and cooperation with supervisors, workers, staff and peers/seniors and all the Departments to achieve the desired results and smooth functioning of the Company. Able to communicate clearly and efficiently. Capable of following/implementing systems and procedures and ensuring proper documentation, preparing cut list and detailed bill of material. Capable of maintaining machines and overall factory upkeep. Capable of ensuring safety of men, machine, materials and the properties of the Company. Sound Communication in English, Hindi and it is fine if the candidate knows Kannada, Tamil. Candidate can be from any part of the country. Other Country candidate is also OK 3. Co-ordination: Co-ordinate and communicate with clients to obtain necessary Site Measurements, Drawings, Details and Specifications for preparation of Drawings. Attend Meetings with the clients and Communicate with them from time to time as required. Co-ordinate, communicate with all managers etc., as shall be warranted and required by them for the purpose of carrying out Production. Ensure preparation and submission of Production Drawings, Shop Floor Drawings, cut-list and such other Drawings that are required for carrying out Production in the factory. Obtain required Approvals for shop floor Drawings and Samples of prototypes and materials and Clearances from the Client for the purpose of commencing/carrying out production and procurement of materials. Provide Complete BOM clearly indicating the size, make, finish etc., after due deliberations with GM and Purchase Manager, to Purchase Department well ahead of time scheduled for production. Ensure proper Co-ordination & supply of furniture with Installation Team. 4. Key Responsibilities: Getting Approval of the Production Drawings with detailing from the Client in specified Time lines & documentation. Facilitate production planning, schedule & setting targets as per the capacity of the set up. Achieving Production as per the set Targets. Automation Wherever Possible. Training Operators & Bringing in the latest Industry practice & Systems to minimize Manpower, save Energy & Ensure safety measures. Planning Material Requirement well in Advance & co coordinating with H.O. Ensuring Preventive Maintenance Process for All Machines. Analysing Pre production cost estimate & preparing Actual Post production cost & submitting for every project & Product. Suggesting to Management ways of Cutting down cost & Improving Productivity. Motivating the team and ensuring a professional work atmosphere. Directly accountable for wastage/material management & improper approvals of design, materials, tools etc. & carelessness.
